Orders and shipping, returns and guarantee, bases and bulbs, payments and invoices, purchases for businesses: every answer starts from the fact that applies and links to the page with the details.

Group 1

Orders and shipping

How much does shipping cost?

Nothing on orders over €75: across the European Union, shipping by express courier is free. Below €75 it costs €14.90.

For countries outside the EU, shipping costs and times are calculated in the cart, before payment: you know what you pay before confirming.

Shipping and returns

How long does the parcel take?

From dispatch, delivery within the EU generally takes 2-3 working days.

Before dispatch comes preparation, shown on every product page. Bulbs are ready catalogue products, not made to order.

Which courier do you use?

By express courier: the couriers we work with are DHL, GLS and BRT/DPD.

You can find the status of your order in your account, under My orders, together with the order documents.

My orders

Do I need to register to order?

No, registration is optional: you can also complete your order as a guest.

With an account you find orders, addresses and invoices in one place, and your details are already filled in for your next purchase.

Returns and guarantee

Can I return a product?

Yes: you have 30 days from delivery to withdraw, and all you need to do is tell us.

Write to us from the Withdrawal and complaints page or at hello@bulby.it with your order number: we tell you how to send the parcel, with the products intact. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.

Withdrawal and complaints

When does the refund arrive?

Within 14 days, with the same payment method you used for the order.

Withdrawal applies to catalogue products. Lamps composed and assembled at your request are personalised goods and are not covered by withdrawal.

Shipping and returns

The parcel arrived damaged: what do I do?

Report it within 8 days of delivery, with a photo of the parcel and the product: we open the claim with the courier.

You can attach the photos directly in the form on the Withdrawal and complaints page, choosing «Product damaged in transport».

Withdrawal and complaints

What guarantee do the products have?

Every product has the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery.

For a defect, open a request with your order number: we repair or replace at no cost to you.

Bulbs and bases

How do I know which base I need?

Look at the base of the bulb you have: E27 and E14 screw in and are 27 and 14 millimetres across, the GU10 has two pins and locks with a quarter turn.

E27 is the base of ceiling, table and floor lamps; E14 that of wall lights, chandeliers and small table lamps; GU10 that of recessed and track spotlights.

Light bulb guide

What do codes like G95 or A60 mean?

They indicate the shape of the glass and its diameter in millimetres: G stands for globe, A for the classic drop, ST for the so-called Edison shape, T for the tube.

A G95 is therefore a 95 mm globe, a G45 a 45 mm mini globe and an ST64 a 64 mm Edison. Before choosing a large globe, check the space inside the shade.

Light bulb guide

What does colour temperature in kelvin indicate?

It indicates the colour of the light: the lower the number, the warmer the light.

Around 2000 K the light is amber, at 2700 K it is the warm white of household bulbs, towards 4000 K it becomes more neutral. The temperature of each model, when the manufacturer declares it, is on its product page.

Light bulb guide

How much light does a bulb give?

Light is measured in lumens, not watts: watts tell you how much the bulb consumes, lumens how much light it gives.

In our catalogue a clear 4 W G95 gives 470 lumens and a 7 W one gives 806. The glass matters: at the same wattage, amber or smoked glass gives less light than clear glass.

Light bulb guide

Are the bulbs dimmable?

It depends on the model: when a bulb is dimmable, its product page says so.

A dimmable bulb should be used with a dimmer compatible with LED bulbs; a non-dimmable one should be switched on with a normal switch.

Do you also sell cables, ceiling roses and lamp holders?

They are coming soon: today the shop offers decorative bulbs and smart and rechargeable lamps.

Fabric cables, ceiling roses and lamp holders to compose your own lamp will be announced on the site and in the newsletter when available. We give no dates before they are in the shop.

Payments and invoices

How can I pay?

By credit or debit card, Klarna, Satispay, iDEAL, Bancontact, Pay by Bank, MyBank, EPS or bank transfer.

Online payments go through the protected page of Mollie, a European payment provider: we neither see nor store your card details. Available methods depend on the country and are shown at checkout.

Payments

Do prices include VAT?

Yes: the prices you see on the site include VAT, and that is what you pay.

Shipping within the EU is free on orders over €75; below €75, €14.90 is added for delivery.

Can I get an invoice?

Yes: at checkout choose whether you buy as a private customer or as a business and enter your invoice details.

We ask private customers resident in Italy for their tax code, and businesses for their VAT number and, in Italy, the SDI code or PEC address. The invoice is issued by Lightinup Srl, the company that runs Bulby.

Group 5

Businesses and discounts

Can businesses buy on Bulby?

Yes: Bulby sells to private customers, but bars, shops, studios and companies can buy in the same way by choosing «Business» at checkout.

You need your VAT number and, for Italian companies, the SDI code or PEC address for e-invoicing. For bespoke projects, such as hotels and contract, the same company works on lightinup.it.

Is there a discount if I buy more pieces?

Yes: above €270 per order, VAT included, the cart automatically applies a 5% discount.

In the cart a bar shows you how much is missing to reach the threshold. The discount applies to private customers and businesses, with no codes to enter.

How do I get the welcome discount?

By subscribing to the Bulby newsletter: the first time you subscribe you receive a 10% code for your order by email.

The sign-up form is at the bottom of every page of the site, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
