It serves as support and anchoring for chain-hung lamps and chandeliers. It is 85 mm long in total and has a fine M10x1 thread. The welded end hook gives high mechanical strength: the welding guarantees a stable fixing point that does not deform under load. It screws onto the carrying hook inside a metal ceiling rose, for a reliable structural anchor.
